About Us

Buxton Alliance is a collective of local people who came to each other’s notice through our individual efforts to effect positive change for the town.

Our membership is wide and varied, and our core group contains a wide range of demographics including people born in and around Buxton, people who have moved into the area more recently and even people who have moved into Buxton from overseas. We are of all ages and a variety of professional backgrounds. Students are also welome and represented within our ranks.

What we all have in common is that we love this town, we want to see it building on its historic roots to become an economic success for its inhabitants and a magnet for visitors, and we want to maintain and improve its infrastructure, and preserve its character as a unique English market and spa town destination with a rich architectural heritage.
